Logistics and Directions

Start time

Evening classes begin promptly at 7:00pm. You are welcome to arrive any time from 6:30pm if you would like to bring dinner with you and relax before class starts. The guest house has a kitchen where you can heat things up and plates etc. that you are welcome to use. Refresher classes start at 9:00am.

What to Bring

  • A birth ball, starting with class number 2. You can purchase one from me at the first class for $25, or use an inflatable exercise ball.
  • Your study guide, which you will receive at the first class.
  • The birth zone cottage is a shoe-free environment. If you aren’t comfortable in bare feet or socks, please bring slippers or other indoor-only footwear.

Class Location

Classes are held in the guest house next to my home. The location is a tranquil, wooded haven 4 miles northeast of Redmond. I've had clients travel here from as far as Arlington, West Seattle, Tacoma, and Snoqualmie Pass! But most are residents of Eastside cities such as Bellevue, Kirkland, Bothell, Sammamish, Issaquah, Renton, and Woodinville. (I couldn't resist doing a bit of number crunching, so if you're curious, click here for a chart that shows all the various places clients travel from.)

The address is:

20747 NE 112th St
Redmond WA 98053

Directions from eastbound 520:

  • At the end of 520 in Redmond, continue straight onto Avondale
  • Proceed north for 2 miles through 6 sets of lights
  • You will see a Shell gas station on your right
  • Turn right just past the gas station onto 116th St
  • Proceed for 1 mile
  • At the four-way stop, go straight
  • Take the next right onto 206th
  • At the end of 206th, turn left onto 112th--a private road
  • Just past the mailboxes, turn right. Follow the white signs that say Chalmers
  • At the top of the hill, take the right fork up to the smaller house.

Note that traffic is often backed up eastbound on 520 and there is no carpool lane for the last couple of miles. Depending on traffic conditions, it may be better to take I-405 to Totem Lake instead:

Directions from I-405 in the Totem Lake area:

  • Exit I-405 onto 124th
  • Proceed east on 124th through Totem Lake, across the Sammamish valley, up over English hill to Avondale.
  • At Avondale, take a right (south)
  • At the first set of lights, turn left just in front of the Shell gas station, onto 116th St
  • Proceed for 1 mile
  • At the four-way stop, go straight
  • Take the next right onto 206th
  • At the end of 206th, turn left onto 112th--a private road
  • Just past the mailboxes, turn right. Follow the white signs that say Chalmers
  • At the top of the hill, take the right fork up to the guest house.
