What Does a Labor Simulator Contraction Sound Like?

Labor Simulator uses a unique sound to represent a contraction. The sound was designed specifically to be unpleasant. Why? Because a soothing, pleasant sound would be too easy to relax to and would not require the use of coping techniques. The jarring, non-rhythmic quality of the contraction sound helps your class participants to practice relaxing at a time when they would instinctively tense up.

To hear the contraction sound, make sure you have speakers or headphones connected to your computer, then click play and wait a few seconds for the contraction to build.

Note: I'm hearing from some customers that they can't hear the sound. I think it's because it doesn't play in certain browsers, and I'm working on figuring out why. In the meantime, if you can't  hear it in your default browser, try it with Internet Explorer.
